Celebrates 50 Years

Come celebrate with us!

We would like to invite everyone in the local community and those who have had contact with our school in the last 50 years to please come and join us this September for a weekend of celebrations.

This is the first of many events throughout the year where the school will be celebrating it's 50th Birthday.

Activities planned throughout the weekend!

We have a host of activities for the whole family throughout the weekend:

music, craft activities, games, storytelling, talks on the school and delicious food.

 

It is a wonderful opportunity to meet up with friends old and new.

Saturday 14th September

Daytime

Singer

The Big Sing

10am in the Hall

Enjoy songs from across the Globe in three-part harmony. 

​

Suitable for all Adults and children.

 

*No singing experience required and no need to be able to read music!

Craft & Artistic Workshops

Throughout the day

Adults and children can choose from a number of workshops throughout the day. 

 

Workshops to take place in a Waldorf classroom taught by Waldorf teachers.

Circus Skills

Throughout the day

Circus skills workshops will be running all day for all the family. Juggling, mini tightrope, fun games, diabolo all on offer.

Storytelling

For all the family

Come and listen to our and imaginative teachers spin a yarn around the fire

Remembering
Keir & Our Friends

Keir Hall, Saturday 4pm

Please join us on Saturday at 4pm in the hall to remember Keir Polyblank, who designed and built our wonderful school.

 

Everyone is warmly welcome to hear the story of how the school began in 1974 and Keir’s significant personal contribution to its development over many years.  Should you have a little comment or memory of your time with Keir to share, there will be space for you to speak.

Delicious vegetarian supper and drinks available from 5pm-6.30pm 

Alumni Event

6.30pm - 7.30pm

Everyone welcome to celebrate the past, present and future of the school. Share your stories, songs, poems and memories from the last 50 years with friends old and new.  

 

What can you share with our school community?

Folk Dancing

7.30pm - 8.30pm 

Come and dance the night away with music from our Parents Band.

Sunday 15th September

A Community Day

Community Projects

All day

Everyone is welcome to join us today to work together on community projects.  

 

There will be the Busy Bees, tidying up the school, cleaning, fixing and painting.  Or maybe you want to get involved in building the float and costumes for the school’s 50th Ringwood Carnival float.

Sunday Morning Walk

10am - 1pm

Meet at the school and enjoy a local walk to Moors Valley country park.

 

Led by one of our teachers, our adventure will lead us through the forest and end at the Moors Valley visitor centre.

 

This walk is suitable for parents with pushchairs.

Our Sunday morning walk is open to all!
